Our values

We believe in young people

We believe all people are made in the image of God, and have a God-given potential. Yet the problems associated with young people are rightly one of society's major concerns.  We believe in working with young people, especially the disadvantaged and those who feel excluded, with the aim of enabling them to make a positive contribution towards changing the factors which exclude them.  We believe in offering young people opportunities to develop in mind, body and spirit, so as to equip them to develop this potential of theirs as fully as possible.

We believe in community

We have a vision for strong communities, where everyone is cared for unconditionally, valued equally and able to live in peace and harmony.

Our work is open to people of all faiths or none

We believe in education

We want to help schools to be places of excellence, where pupils can achieve full potential in their academic, creative, personal, physical, moral and spiritual development.   The support we can offer includes teaching in RE and PSHE, collective worship, staff development and training, and drama presentations, in addition to personal support for staff under pressure.

We believe in the church

The church is the major provider of social care and youth activities in the country, and is also the largest employer of youth workers.  CRIBS is part of the Christian church, and we encourage local churches to take an active interest in the community by strengthening their links with schools and by promoting social action projects in their neighbourhood.
